Canadian Company Considers Agricultural Equipment Production

On October 18 this year, at the premises of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" Madiyar Sultanbek, Deputy Chairman of the Board, held a meeting with Glen Kehler, CEO of the Canadian company CanAgro and representatives of the Canadian Embassy in Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the parties discussed the company’s plans to implement a project for the construction of an agricultural equipment manufacturing factory in Kokshetau, Akmola Region.

G. Kehler outlined plans for building a factory that would produce agricultural equipment using modern technologies. The project, with an estimated investment volume of $4-5 million, aims to sell the manufactured equipment in Kazakhstan and export it to Central Asia and Russia. CanAgro plans to begin supplying components for the first production batch to Kazakhstan already in February 2025. The initial phase of the project is expected to create 20 to 30 new jobs, with potential for growth as production expands.

During the meeting, representatives of KAZAKH INVEST familiarized the Canadian company with the measures of state support and the national company's efforts in assisting investment projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue cooperation in the realization of this promising project.
