KAZAKH INVEST took part in the Eurasian Conference of the Society of Honorary Consuls
Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gabidulla Ospankulov and Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" Madiyar Sultanbek spoke at the Eurasian Conference of the Society of Honorary Consuls, organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC), KAZAKH INVEST, and Akimat of Astana.
During his speech, G. Ospankulov presented the participants with information about Kazakhstan's investment climate and the tools and opportunities that Kazakhstan can offer to domestic and foreign investors. The Chairman of the Committee stressed the importance of applying new approaches to improve the efficiency of the investment attraction system and implementing investment projects in the country.
In turn, M. Sultanbek informed the participants about the role of KAZAKH INVEST in attracting investments and about the work carried out by the national company in this direction. The deputy chairman also told the participants about investment opportunities in producing high-tech goods from raw materials in Kazakhstan, noting that high-value-added projects should become a growth point for the manufacturing sector of Kazakhstan. In this regard, M. Sultanbek presented promising niches for potential investment projects to the event participants, including petrochemistry, oil and gas equipment production, and deep grain processing.
"I would like to note the high potential of the agro-industrial sector since the area of agricultural land in Kazakhstan is more than 200 million hectares. According to preliminary calculations, the potential of the industry is more than $ 10 billion. We aim to attract investors to projects with high added value in the agricultural sector, and one of these areas is deep grain processing," the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board stressed.
At the end of his speech, M. Sultanbek invited Kazakh consuls and representatives of the foreign community to cooperate and jointly implement investment projects, including using the transfer of modern technologies to localize production in Kazakhstan.
The Congress of Honorary Consuls, held in Astana on September 11-15 this year, united Honorary Consuls appointed in Kazakhstan and Honorary Consuls operating outside the country into one organization. The purpose of the event is to strengthen the role and importance of consuls, ensure the exchange of valuable experience, facilitate interaction with government agencies, and contribute to the development and strengthening of diplomatic and investment relations between Kazakhstan and other countries. Special attention is paid to the development of relations between FICAC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
