Turkish Company Plans Production of Irrigation Systems in Kazakhstan

With the support of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST," the Turkish company Akplas intends to implement an investment project to produce modern irrigation systems for agriculture in the Kyzylorda region. The agreement on implementing the project was reached following the Turkish side's visit to Kazakhstan.

The visit was organized with the assistance of KAZAKH INVEST and the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul. Thus, representatives of the Akplas management visited the Kyzylorda region, where they were presented with promising land plots. During the visit, representatives of the company also held talks with local executive bodies on the implementation of the project.

The project will cost about $10 million in the first stage and about $50 million in the medium term. In the first stage, the annual production capacity of irrigation plants will be 80 thousand hectares. Within five years, the capacity is planned to increase to 400 thousand hectares. The project is expected to be commissioned in early 2025.

Since 2008, Akplas has been one of the leaders in the sprinkler irrigation sector in Turkey.
