KAZAKH INVEST Launched a Series of Webinars for Potential Investors
An online webinar was held at the KAZAKH INVEST site on the topic: “Auction bidding for the selection of renewable energy projects in 2022 year."
The project manager for energy and sustainable development in the Investment Task Force investment division Askhat Bekenov spoke about the prospects of implementing projects in the renewable energy industry in his welcoming speech. Thus, according to him, the production of electricity by renewable energy facilities is included in the list of priority activities.
KAZAKH INVEST project manager Leyla Gimranova told the participants about the company's activities and the services provided for investors on the principle of "one stop shop". The participants were also informed about the types of state support for investment activities and the mechanism for obtaining investment preferences.
During the webinar, Abai Kulanbay, Director of the RES Department of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, briefed the participants on the changes and additions to the current regulatory legal acts. He also spoke about the development of the renewable energy sector in Kazakhstan.
The auction process was explained by Aknur Shagyrbayeva, Director of the Market Development Department of KOREM JSC, and Madiyar Sapargaliev, a representative of the SFS for RES Support LLP. Issues regarding the types of financial security, conditions, terms for preparing documents and reporting were also discussed.
The EBRD representatives provided information on the documentation of the project auctions of the current year.
The webinar was attended by 150 people from 118 Kazakh and foreign companies.
A series of webinars was organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with KAZAKH INVEST, with the participation of USAID, the EBRD, the auction organizer JSC KOREM, JSC KEGOC and the sole purchaser of electricity from renewable energy sources SFS for RES LLP.
