"Dubai Global Partnership Series: Kazakhstan" - Focus on Kazakhstan

The online meeting, which took place on February 24, 2021, focused on opportunities for bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Kazakhstan in various fields such as manufacturing, construction, agriculture, and information technology.

Also during the event, the participants discussed trade opportunities in different directions asked questions to representatives of various trade bodies, and learned about the latest developments in bilateral economic relations.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry Majid Al Gurayr, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the UAE Madiyar Menilbekov, Vice Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alisher Abdykadyrov, representative of «Kazakh Invest» Azamat Kozhanov, Head of FDI Dubai Fahad Al Gergawi, as well as director  Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry Omar Khan.

“Taking into account the aggravation of global and regional competition for attracting investments, it becomes necessary to introduce new approaches to active work with investors and to strengthen support for investment projects,” said Azamat Kozhanov.  For this, a new algorithm for investment management and targeted work with investors will be introduced.

Kazakhstan is interested in attracting investors from the UAE.  Earlier, the Emirates side was offered 30 projects in the agro-industrial complex, petrochemicals, mining metallurgy, and pharmaceuticals.  To date, a targeted study of these proposals is underway together with business representatives from the UAE.

Note that the webinar was attended by over 200 participants from 19 countries, including the UAE, Kazakhstan, Algeria, China, and others.
