On September 12 this year, the "China-Kazakhstan: Trade and Investment Cooperation" meeting, organized by the People's Government of Hainan Province with the support of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST," was held in Astana. Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Yerkinbayev and Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gabidulla Ospankulov also spoke on the sidelines of the event, which brought together over 100 representatives of the public and private sectors of the two countries.

At the event, G. Ospankulov told Chinese representatives about the investment climate in Kazakhstan and government support measures. The Chairman of the Committee stressed the high degree of importance of the event both for further expansion of economic cooperation and for identifying new opportunities and niches for investment, noting the significant untapped potential for deepening ties between Kazakhstan and Hainan Province.

"It should be noted that Chinese business is already seriously present in our market as investors and, with the support of the Government of Kazakhstan, government agencies and agencies have already implemented many projects in the field of energy, oil refining, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, construction, etc. Nevertheless, there is great potential for further deepening cooperation, especially in projects where it is possible to enter a new production conversion and get a higher added value of products," said G. Ospankulov.

During the event, the participants discussed the prospects for implementing joint projects to strengthen interregional trade and economic cooperation in key sectors such as tourism, logistics, construction, etc. The event participants expressed confidence that the meeting results will give a new impetus to further relations between Kazakhstan and Hainan Province, contributing to economic growth and sustainable development of the two regions.

As a result of the event, 8 bilateral documents were also signed:

1. Memorandum of Cooperation in the export of automobiles between KUN AUTO LTD and Hainan Haima Automobile Co., Ltd.;

2. Memorandum on investment assistance between the Council for Foreign Economic Trade of the "Atameken" National Association of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan and the Office of International Economic Development of Hainan;

3. Memorandum of cooperation in attracting investments between the G-Global International Secretariat of Kazakhstan and Global Trade Window Management Co., Ltd.;

4. Memorandum of Cooperation in the trade of food products from Hainan between ASPAN LLC and Hainan Chun Guang Food Co., Ltd.;

5. Agreement on cooperation in the opening of air routes between Air Astana and the Department for Tourism Development of Sanya;

6. Memorandum of Cooperation in cross-border trade between GOLD Product Co., Ltd. and Hainan Dehang Cross-Border E-commerce Co., Ltd.;

7. Memorandum of Cooperation in the trade of tropical fruits from Hainan between TEK Agro and Hainan Jingpeng Agriculture Co., Ltd.;

8. Strategic agreement on cooperation in opening air routes between Air Astana and Hainan Saiofei.
