Thai Company to Open Fish Production
On August 14 this year, at the site of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST," Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gabidulla Ospankulov met with the President of the Thai company Sea Value Plc., Dr. Poj Aramwattananont. During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the construction of a plant for the production of canned, processed fish products and frozen semi-finished products in Kazakhstan. Local fisheries are expected to supply the raw materials for production, and the finished products will be exported to Thailand and other countries.
The investment amount is expected to be $6 million, and the production capacity will be 3-5 tons of fish products per day. In the future, the company plans to expand the product line produced in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the moment, Sea Value is searching for a land plot.
G. Ospankulov told Thai investors about the investment climate of the Republic of Kazakhstan and state support measures, including the advantages of special economic zones and preferences in agriculture. The Chairman thanked the Thai delegation for the visit and expressed his desire for further cooperation in implementing investment projects.
Following the meeting, representatives of Sea Value and KAZAKH INVEST signed a memorandum of cooperation in agriculture and the food industry. Also, a memorandum on bilateral investment cooperation was signed between KAZAKH INVEST and Kazakh Thai Alliance.
