Swiss Holding Expands Investment Activities in Kazakhstan

On March 19 of this year, at the site of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST," Yerzhan Yelekeyev, the Chairman of the national company's Board, met with the representatives of Eurasia Swiss Holding AG.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the intention of the Swiss holding to expand its activities in Kazakhstan. In particular, Eurasia Swiss Holding AG is interested in building an innovative medical center and implementing agro-industrial projects in the country.

For instance, the holding is considering building a medical center to provide the healthcare sector's positron emission tomography and computed tomography services. According to Gulmira Amatova, Director of Eurasia Swiss Holding Investment LLP, which is part of the holding, the center's opening will positively impact the quality of life of cancer patients through the introduction of new technologies and methods of tomography and ensure their accessibility to the general public.

In agriculture, the holding is considering the possibility of building dairy farms and a dairy plant in the Kostanay region, which would cost $62 million. According to Kairat Bisetayev, Director of Eurasia Farm Innovation LLP, which is part of the holding, the company can significantly contribute to developing Kazakhstan's livestock management and dairy production systems. In particular, the company is interested in building a specialized training center in the country.

During the meeting, Yerzhan Yelekeyev told the Swiss representatives about the Republic of Kazakhstan's investment climate, KAZAKH INVEST's activities, and measures of state support. In turn, representatives of Eurasia Swiss Holding AG expressed interest in considering concluding an investment Agreement with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the projects mentioned above. After the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen investment cooperation in implementing promising projects.
