The Main Provisions of the Concept of Anti-corruption Policy are Explained
On October 13, 2022, the head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service of NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC Daniyar Raimbaev held a seminar to clarify the provisions of the Concept of the Anti-Corruption Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 2, 2022 No. 802.
The KAZAKH INVEST team was informed about the mission of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service, the main task of which is to ensure that the relevant organization and its employees comply with anti-corruption laws.
The speaker noted the norm of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Combating Corruption”, according to which all state bodies, organizations, subjects of the quasi-public sector and officials are required to counteract corruption within their competence.
During the event, the main provisions of the Concept of Anti-Corruption Policy for 2022-2026 and the tasks assigned to the subjects of the quasi-public sector were explained, the focus of the Concept on the systematic elimination of the prerequisites for corruption, ensuring the inevitability of responsibility, a fundamental change in public consciousness, the formation of aversion by the population of any forms of corruption and nepotism, priority of preventive measures.
Along with this, the rating of Kazakhstan according to the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index and a sociological portrait of a corrupt official, compiled by Transparency Kazakhstan experts, are presented.
In the final part of the seminar, the norms of legislation in the field of combating corruption were explained, the importance of the priority application of preventive anti-corruption measures and adherence to the principles of integrity was indicated, thematic anti-corruption videos were shown and answers were given to questions of interest to colleagues.
