Prospects for Investment Cooperation Discussed in Belgrade
During the visit to Belgrade (Republic of Serbia), organized with the assistance of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Serbia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev and Foreign Representative of JSC “NC “KAZAKH INVEST” in Southern Europe Altynay Mukanova held several meetings with the leadership of Serbian companies, where they discussed the potential for the implementation of joint investment projects.
Thus, under the leadership of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the parties discussed deepening bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Serbia in priority economic sectors.
A. Mukanova presented the potential of electrical engineering in Kazakhstan to the representatives of the ICCE company. The foreign representative stressed that creating enterprise automation projects in a wide range of industries significantly contributes to industrialization and human capital building. ICCE provides turnkey solutions in electrical engineering and process automation for customers in more than 20 countries.
A meeting was held with Hipol, the only polypropylene manufacturer in Serbia, and the company's representatives expressed interest in implementing projects in Kazakhstan. It is worth noting that the company's plant produces up to 35,000 tons of polypropylene per year.
During the negotiations, A. Mukanova also held meetings with the heads of companies such as Gerovit, GOŠA FOM, and Sigma Ltd, where she familiarized Serbian representatives with the investment climate of Kazakhstan and investment attraction tools.
In turn, the Serbian side showed great interest in implementing joint promising projects and expressed its desire to establish further cooperation with Kazakh partners.
