News - Kazakhstan and the Netherlands Sign 8 Commercial Documents

With the support of the Embassies of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as well as JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" in Astana, a ceremony was held to sign 8 commercial documents. The documents aim to promote bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands in agriculture, healthcare, ecology, and education.

For instance, a memorandum of understanding on implementing a project for the construction of an automated center for producing planting material (free from viruses) using artificial intelligence was signed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Dutch company "VISCON". This project will contribute to improving the sustainability, quality, and yield of crops. Artificial intelligence technologies and in vitro cultivation methods will be utilized within the project. The project is planned to be implemented from 2024 to 2026 with an annual production capacity of 12 million seedlings.

Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan signed a document with "Royal GD" to enhance the veterinary system in Kazakhstan. The project involves modernizing Kazakhstan's veterinary system, which will ensure the quality control of livestock products according to international standards and create conditions for the export of domestic products to Western markets.

A memorandum of cooperation in the field of medical device manufacturing on the territory of Kazakhstan was signed between the Ministry of Healthcare of Kazakhstan and "Royal Philips". Within the project, the Dutch company plans to localize the production of portable ultrasound devices by Philips in Kazakhstan.

These initiatives reflect the deep commitment of both countries to cooperation in addressing current challenges and achieving sustainable development. It is expected that the implementation of these projects will yield tangible results in the form of new jobs, improved quality of life for citizens, and strengthening economic ties between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.

5. Memorandum on the implementation of a project for the production of carbon credits in the Kyzylorda region between the Akimat of the Kyzylorda region, the Kazakhstan Biodiversity Fund, and DGB;

6. Memorandum of Understanding between the Akimat of the Kyzylorda Region and Spectator Ehealth Holding B.V. on the implementation of a telemedicine project;

7. Memorandum of Cooperation between JSC "Center for International Programs" and the Erasmus Medical Center on the allocation of specialized grants;

8. Memorandum on the development of fisheries between the Fisheries Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and Alltech Coppens.
