Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic discussed issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation
The development of trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic has been discussed today within the framework of the online meeting organized by the Embassy of the “QazTrade” Trade Policy Development Center” JSC.
The discussion was attended by the leadership of the Committee on Investments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Management Board of the NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC Meirzhan Yussupov, a representative of the CzechTrade Agency of the Czech Republic Peter Yurik, as well as the Directors of sectoral departments, foreign economic cooperation of the Ministries of Industry and Infrastructure Development, Energy, Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Forum was opened by the adviser-envoy of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Czech Republic Birzhan Kaneshev and presented a program of bilateral trade and economic and investment cooperation until 2022.
In turn, the Chairman of the Management Board of the NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC Meirzhan Yussupov noted that Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic are progressively developing cooperation towards attracting investments. Furthermore, the speaker acquainted the participants of the meeting with new approaches used in the state system of attracting investments, preferences, and other instruments that create a comfortable climate for the work of foreign business in Kazakhstan.
"I would like to note that there are currently 7 projects in the country investment card with the Czech Republic for a total of $ 835 million. Czech investors are already implementing one energy project - this SES is 50 MW worth $ 135 million. Additionally, we have quite enough Close cooperation at the institutional level with our colleagues from Czech Invest. We hope for the further development of our partnerships, " said Meirzhan Yussupov.
From the Czech side, the regional representative of the agency CzechTrade Peter Yurik, who shared information about the implemented projects in various fields, as well as the potential of the parties to the development of economic relations.
Representatives of the Ministry of Commerce and Integration and QAZTRADE JSC informed about a wide range of tools to support domestic manufacturers when exporting to the Czech Republic.
In turn, representatives of the ministries of industrial-innovative development and energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan shared information on possible investment projects in various industries that can be implemented in our country with the involvement of technologies and investors from the Czech Republic.
The online meeting has passed in the format of a living discussion. According to the results of the speech, the participants received the opportunity to ask questions and get comprehensive answers on them.
