KAZAKH INVEST urged Malaysian businesses to invest in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities were presented to Malaysian businesses during the webinar «Kazakhstan - the Land of Great Opportunities», organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Malaysia, KAZAKH INVEST with the support of the Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association (MSIA).
The online meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia Bulat Sugurbayev, representatives of KAZAKH INVEST, Astana International Financial Centre and Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the heads of Malaysian companies operating in the ICT, electronics and semiconductor industries.
In his welcoming speech, Bulat Sugurbayev noted the friendly relations of the Kazakh and Malaysian peoples, as well as the great potential for the development of active cooperation between the two countries in the trade, economic and investment fields. The Ambassador informed business representatives that Kazakhstan presents new opportunities for foreign investors and is open for mutually beneficial cooperation.
In turn, the representative of KAZAKH INVEST Diana Ablyakimova shared the company’s interest in cooperation with Malaysian business and readiness to provide comprehensive support for the implementation of investment projects from initiation to the commissioning stage.
Today, foreign investors are showing interest in opportunities in Kazakhstan’s priority sectors thanks to the country's strategically important location, favorable business environment, investor rights protection, as well as state support measures. As Diana Ablyakimova noted, Kazakhstan, located at the heart of Eurasia, not only provides a direct access to the largest markets, but also boasts rich mineral resource base and favorable business climate.
During the webinar, Malaysian companies showed interest in the opportunities of the special economic zone «Park of Innovative Technologies», as well as in the AIFC platform. As a result of the event, the parties agreed to organize a visit of the Malaysian companies to Kazakhstan.
