KAZAKH INVEST at the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh

On January 14-16, 2025, the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) was held in Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). The event was attended by Kazakh Minister of Industry and Construction Kanat Sharlapayev, Kazakh Ambassador to the KSA Madiyar Menilbekov, Managing Director of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" Azamat Kozhanov, and others.
On the sidelines of the forum, the delegation met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih, and the heads of Saudi companies such as ACWA POWER, Ivanhoe Electric, and BHP.
Thus, during the meeting with the Saudi Arabian Minister of Investment, issues of further expansion of Kazakh-Saudi cooperation in industries such as mining and energy were discussed. During the meeting with the management of ACWA POWER and Ivanhoe Electric, the parties discussed issues of economic partnership in various sectors of the economy.
At the meeting with BHP's management, prospects for further development of investment cooperation were discussed, and Kazakhstan's potential in various areas of the metallurgical industry and opportunities in this area were presented, including the current corporate development strategy and government measures taken to stimulate and attract foreign capital to the country's economy.
FMF is one of the leading platforms for discussing the future of the mineral raw materials industry, bringing together over 13,000 delegates from 145 countries. The forum discusses issues related to the prospects of the rare and rare earth elements sector. In particular, it is the definition of a global strategy for critical minerals, the exchange of advanced technologies and experience, the creation of new sustainable production and supply chains, and the formation of a hub for "green" metals in Africa, Western, and Central Asia.
