KAZAKH INVEST and Tranzum Courier Service Discussed Joint Projects in Logistics and Maritime Transportation
In Astana, a working meeting was held between Mr. Azamat Kozhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of NC "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC, and Mr. Khalid Nawaz Awan, Chairman of the Board of Tranzum Courier Service (TCS). The meeting was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects for implementing joint projects in the logistics sector, with a focus on developing maritime transportation, establishing joint ventures, and creating multimodal routes between Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and third countries.
TCS presented an initiative to attract Kazakhstani partners to invest in the development of the Gwadar Port — a key logistics hub on the Arabian Sea coast. The company also expressed interest in jointly exploring logistics solutions for delivering Kazakhstani goods to maritime routes and developing transit corridors through Kazakhstan to China, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and other countries in the region.
Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KAZAKH INVEST Azamat Kozhanov emphasized that transport and logistics play a key role in the sustainable development of the economy, stating:
“Cooperation with companies like TCS will strengthen transport connectivity, reduce delivery times, and expand the geography of Kazakhstani exports. Today, in cooperation with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Pakistan, we are actively working to attract investors to the transport and logistics sector. TCS is one of the companies showing genuine interest in jointly implementing projects between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. We are ready to support the development of concrete initiatives and facilitate their implementation within the framework of existing state support tools” he noted.
The parties paid special attention to the potential use of alternative routes, including the QTTA, UPTTA, and KPTTA corridors, as instruments to bypass congested segments of traditional trade paths. Kazakhstan is already actively using transit through the ports of Karachi and, in the future, may gain direct access to Pakistani ports through integration with the transport networks of China and Afghanistan.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue and hold an additional series of consultations involving relevant government agencies and companies. Further discussions will focus on the creation of logistics hubs, the implementation of digital solutions in supply chain management, and the development of a sustainable transport infrastructure across the Eurasian region.
For reference:

The company is actively developing multimodal routes through the ports of Karachi and Gwadar, including the international UPTTA and QTTA corridors, and has already completed over 600 transit shipments to Central Asian countries, including 17 to Kazakhstan. The development of direct TIR shipments without the need for transshipment in third countries is one of TCS's key areas of focus.
