Jordanian Company to Construct Poultry Farm in Kazakhstan
At the site of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST," Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gabidulla Ospankulov met with representatives of Al Jazeera Agriculture Company to discuss the possibility of implementing the company's investment project to construct a poultry farm in Kazakhstan. The company arrived in the country following the results of negotiations held on the sidelines of the Kazakh-Jordanian round table in Amman earlier this September.
Representatives of Al Jazeera Agriculture informed the Kazakh side about the company's plans to establish the production of hatching eggs in Kazakhstan. The first stage, with a preliminary cost of $15 million, involves the import of brood hens from Europe. The company also plans to involve local suppliers and producers in the subsequent creation of a feed mill.
In turn, G. Ospankulov informed representatives of Al Jazeera Agriculture that the Investment Committee, together with KAZAKH INVEST, is ready to provide full support to the company during the project's implementation.
At the same time, in Astana, representatives of Al Jazeera Agriculture met with representatives of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan and the Astana International Financial Center. During the meetings, the parties discussed possible forms of cooperation and financial support for a project aimed at developing the country's agro-industrial sector.
Moreover, during their visit to Kazakhstan, representatives of Al Jazeera Agriculture visited the Zhetysu, Turkestan, and Kyzylorda regions to find a suitable land plot for implementing the project.

Al Jazeera Agriculture is one of Jordan's leading, fully integrated poultry companies. It has a license to export and sell meat to the KSA and the UAE. The company occupies about 23% of the Jordanian market and produces about 60 million kg of chicken meat and 100 million hatching eggs per year. Al Jazeera Agriculture also produces value-added chicken products under its own trademarks, processing about 4,000 tons of meat per year.
