Head of Kazakh Invest met with representatives of foreign investment funds

The chairman of Kazakh Invest, Saparbek Tuyakbaev on the Astana Economic Forum side met with representatives of the largest financial institutions of the United States - executive director of the investment fund Oppenheimer Farhod Inogambayev and chief advisor of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) John Moran.

The parties discussed the implementation of the memorandum on financing joint investment projects and trade operations signed during the visit of the Head of State to the USA in January this year, as well as further areas of partnership. It is planned that in July a meeting of Oppenheimer and OPIC with Kazakh businessmen will be held to discuss financing of specific investment projects.

A meeting with a partner of the British management company Da Vinci Capital was also held. The possibility of creating a fund for financing investment projects in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex with a focus on deep processing and export, as well as projects in the sphere of new technologies and retail was discussed. The company already has a successful experience of financing similar projects in Russia and Ukraine.

Following the meeting, S.Tuyakbaev invited representatives of financial institutions to participate in the Kazakhstan Investment Round Table, which will be held in July this year in Astana.
