The Czech Company is Interested in Locating the Production of Trams in Kazakhstan

Representatives of Zimatechnik (Czech Republic) visited the Republic of Kazakhstan with the assistance of KAZAKH INVEST. During the week, potential investors visited and got acquainted with the activities of farms in Pavlodar region, East Kazakhstan region and West Kazakhstan region.


Founded in 1994, the Czech company Zimatechnik specializes in the production of trams, and is involved in agricultural projects, according to the press service of KAZAKH INVEST. In addition, the company represents the interests of Czech manufacturers. This is talking about the production of brake discs for rail vehicles by KOVIS d.d.o., rubber products by MIKON spol. s.r.o., springs and leaf springs HŽP a.s. and production of dampers by ST-OS a.s.

During a meeting at the KAZAKH INVEST office, Robert Malek, CEO of the Zimatechnik and Roman Sharipov, Director of the BKN discussed about plans for the future.

In turn, Zhandos Temirgali, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KAZAKH INVEST emphasized that currently in view of the ongoing international processes, interest in Kazakhstan as a production site in the field of mechanical engineering is increasing. The conditions created in the Republic of Kazakhstan comply with all international standards for the localization of production, including the availability of production facilities, infrastructure and state support measures.


Representatives of the Czech company shared their impressions of visiting the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Therefore, in Pavlodar region, potential investors met with the deputy akim of the region Meiram Uteshev. During the meeting, issues of possible prospects for cooperation in localizing the assembly of wagons and trams, and insemination of breeding stock in the region were discussed. In addition, investors were acquainted with the work of the tram department in Pavlodar city.




In the East Kazakhstan region, a meeting was held with the deputy akim of the region Yerzhan Nurbayev. The akimat supported the initiatives of the Czech company. Therefore, because of the meeting with the director of Shalabay LLP Kuanysh Suleimenov, an agreement was reached on the creation of a cryo-conservation center based on Shalabay LLP, which includes a laboratory for collecting breeding material. In addition, the guests visited the tram depot in Ust-Kamenogorsk city.




In the West Kazakhstan region, a meeting was held with the first deputy akim of the region Arman Utegulov. In order to discuss a project to create an innovative research and production laboratory in the region in the field of animal husbandry, the West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University named after Zhangir Khan was visited, as well as investors visited Ural Agricultural Experimental Station LLP and peasant farms of the region.


“The purpose of our visit to Kazakhstan was to discuss cooperation in the region on projects in the field of animal husbandry and in the production of trams. We are satisfied with the work done and look forward to continued cooperation,” summed up Robert Malek, CEO of the Zimatechnik.
