More than 200 German companies got acquainted with the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan
The international exhibition of industrial technologies HANNOVER MESSE 2018 took place in Hannover, the largest exhibition center of the world. Kazakh Invest National Company presented at the exhibition the pavilion where the investment opportunities of the country, including key ones for investing in Kazakhstan projects, were demonstrated.
Within the framework of the forum, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NC Kazakh Invest Marat Birimzhan held bilateral meetings with representatives of the German business community, where the issues of the investment climate were discussed, as well as participation in the Privatization Program.
For example, during meetings with E.On and EDF Energy companies, Marat Birimzhan informed representatives of these organizations about the introduction of the auctions system in Kazakhstan since May this year to receive guaranteed tariffs for the purchase of electricity for a period of 15 years as part of RE projects.
The most interesting projects for investors were discussed with the companies SAP SE, ZEISSIG GmbH & CO., Bertrand, Kuka, Cloos and LappGroup in more detail.
Marat Birimzhan told about the investment attractiveness of the country during the forum at the session dedicated to support of industrial and infrastructural projects in Kazakhstan.
“The government of Kazakhstan has identified four key industries for creating new jobs, increasing exports and tax revenues: logistics, food industry, chemical industry and engineering. For example, Kazakhstan is closely connected with China, Central Asia and the Middle East. This creates an opportunity to benefit from shortening of delivery terms and diversification of routes”, - Marat Birimzhan said at the opening of the forum.
Furthermore, during the forum Marat Birimzhan told about niche projects: “Kazakh Invest helps to develop original project ideas, the so-called niche projects. Last year, we already prepared 50 projects that were offered to foreign investors. In 2018, the national company plans to add another 100 similar projects. We have already seen the first results – potential investors had showed interest in some projects and negotiations began”.

Annually Hanover turns into the meeting place for manufacturers and suppliers of industrial products, which has long been the center for the experience exchange and the source for new partnerships.
