The Kazakhstani Delegation Participated in the "28th World Investment Conference" in Riyadh
Riyadh, November 27, 2024 – On November 25-27, 2024, the 28th World Investment Conference kicked off in Riyadh.
The event was attended by the Governor of the AIFC Renat Bekturov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Saudi Arabia Madiyar Menilbekov, Deputy Chairman of JSC "Kazakhinvest" Madiyar Sultanbek and others.
During the ministerial meeting of the "28th World Investment Conference", the Governor of the AIFC R. Bekturov noted the strategic importance of enhancing cooperation in the production of innovative products, economic diversification and investment attractiveness. In his speech, he briefed about the investment potential of Kazakhstan and new opportunities in this area, as well as the government's measures to stimulate and attract foreign capital to the country's economy.
The ministerial meeting, dedicated to the topic "Using digital transformation and sustainable growth: scaling investment opportunities", was attended by ministers, representatives of investment agencies, large funds and financial institutions, heads of enterprises and international organizations from more than 100 countries.
On the sidelines of the forum, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Kuantyrov met with the Assistant Minister of Investment KSA – CEO of Saudi investment agency (SIPA) Ibrahim Al Mubarak, Founder and CEO of «Lalei Albarkah» Saleh Baterji, CEO of IDR Rabbi Akkouch, Chief of Staff of KAFD Mohsen Al Fahadi, where they discussed prospects for further development of investment cooperation, intensification of trade and economic ties, and implementation of joint infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh delegation also visited the office of ACWA Power and met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of this company, Dr. Mohammed Abunayan. During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to further expand Kazakh-Saudi cooperation, including considering the possibility of implementing joint projects in the field of renewable energy.
