The Russian company PJSC "TATNEFT" in cooperation with the Kazakhstan company JSC "Group of companies "Allur" will create a joint venture for the production of automobile tires in Kazakhstan. The corresponding agreement of intent and a roadmap for the implementation of the project were signed during the visit of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Roman Sklyar and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Almas Aidarov to Nizhnekamsk. The planned capacity of the enterprise is 3 million passenger car and light truck tires, as well as 500 thousand truck tires per year. The volume of investments will be from $ 140 to $ 188 million.

“The project is strategically important for further development of the automotive industry in Kazakhstan. An absolutely new product, which has not been produced in Kazakhstan since the Shymkent tire plant closed down. The negotiations have been going on for a long time, and have reached an intermediate result. However, there is still a lot of work to be done, and we should reach an agreement with the investor on basic terms for its implementation by the autumn", - said the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Almas Aidarov.

“Kazakhstan auto industry has been leading for several years in terms of growth in the industry and occupies one of the most important areas in machine-building of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Development prospects and access to the EAEU markets and neighboring countries continue to attract new technologies and investments to the country. As of today, Kazakhstan's demand for tires is fully covered by imports. In 2018, more than 4 million tires and tires for auto cars were imported. Apart from that, the demand for Budget Car Classes has grown significantly in recent years both in Kazakhstan and in neighboring countries.

The creation of a new production facility for "Tatneft" will be another step towards strengthening the tire complex. We are proud that our competencies in the field of tire production are in demand not only in Russia, but also abroad, and we will be happy to contribute to the development of the automotive industry in Kazakhstan", - said Mr. Nail Maganov, General Director of PJSC "TATNEFT".
