Kazakh-Brazilian Business Council was established

Brasilia, August 26, 2021 - the official ceremony of signing the Memorandum in online format between the Kazakhstan Center for Industry and Export "QazIndustry" and the National Industrial Confederation of Brazil (CNI) on the establishment of the Kazakhstan-Brazilian Business Council took place.

The Business Council was created on the initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil with the aim of expanding economic ties between the two countries through the development of business contacts and mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstani and Brazilian entrepreneurs.

During the event, Chairman of the Board of QazIndustry Berik Bekenov, highly appreciating the current level of trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Brazil and noting the existing significant potential for its expansion, said that the Business Council, which will include the leading enterprises of the two countries, can become an active platform and powerful a driving force for increasing trade and strengthening investment cooperation between the two countries. In this context, the urgent need to promote Kazakhstani exports to South America and attract Brazilian investments to the region was especially emphasized.

In turn, João Emilio Gonçalves, Managing Director for Industrial Cooperation of CNI, noted that the establishment of this mechanism, which allows giving a powerful impetus to the entire range of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, is a historic event for relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil. The Brazilian side intends to attract all interested local companies at the site of the Business Council to realize the existing potential.

The first meeting of the Business Council is scheduled for November 2021 on the eve of the Kazakh-Brazilian business forum.
