The parties discussed the prospects of the implementation of investment projects in Kazakhstan.

In the course of negotiations, the Chairman of the Investment Committee Ardak Zebeshev pointed out that the USA is one of the strategic and largest foreign investors in the economy of Kazakhstan with a total volume of investments of more than $55 billion.

«Kazakhstan remains an attractive place to do business in the Central Asian region, and U.S. foreign direct investment continues to fuel and develop our economic, social, and cultural ties. The government actively cooperates with the major U.S. companies to tap into Kazakhstan’s vast natural wealth and develop local potential through American advanced technology and extensive experience», - said Ardak Zebeshev.

Meirzhan Yussupov, Chairman of KAZAKH INVEST, informed that against the background of current events in the region, many foreign investors announced their withdrawal and suspension of activities in the Russian market.

«In connection with the relocation of many companies in Kazakhstan, we express our willingness to create all the institutional conditions to establish direct cooperation with foreign companies by providing opportunities to move to Kazakhstan or to open joint ventures», - said Meirzhan Yussupov.

During the meeting, Darren Siekman, Vice-President at Valmont Industries, noted the high relevance of implementing a project to build a sprinkler plant and create demonstration farms in the regions. The parties also noted that the partnership with Valmont Industries is strategically important for the development of the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan, taking into account the vast experience and knowledge accumulated over the 75-year history of the company. Increasing productivity and economic efficiency are among the most important items on the agricultural agenda.

During a meeting with Brian Lope, Director of Boeing’s Government Affairs Department, the company’s representative noted that Kazakhstan, as an economic center in Central Asia, opens up new opportunities for foreign companies.

«Thanks to its advantageous geographic location, Kazakhstan has access to a market of more than 500 million consumers, including access to the Chinese, EAEC, and Central Asian markets. Kazakhstan is located along the Great Silk Road connecting Europe and Asia. Part of the transnational transport corridor «Western Europe - Western China» runs through the territory of Kazakhstan», – emphasized the Head of KAZAKH INVEST.

Among other reasons to invest in Kazakhstan, Meirzhan Yussupov named such factors as a favorable business environment, qualified labor force, comprehensive state support, and tremendous opportunities in various sectors.
