Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom Sign Commercial Agreements

During the official visit of the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, David Cameron, to Kazakhstan, a ceremony was held to sign two commercial documents. The ceremony was supported by JSC "NC" KAZAKH INVEST".

Thus, the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Almaty City Administration, JSC "NC" KAZAKH INVEST ", and "AstraZeneca" signed a Plan for the implementation of an investment project for contract manufacturing of biotechnological products on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The signing of the production localization plan is a progressive step towards fulfilling the instructions of the Head of State K.K. Tokayev to increase the share of domestically produced medicines in the domestic market to 50%, contributing to the improvement of the investment climate and the development of bilateral strategic relations.

In addition, the Committee for Highways of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the British company "Car Park Transformer" signed a memorandum on the construction of roadside service facilities on national and international highways of the country. The document envisages the construction of 250 service stations, which will provide a comfortable multi-service environment for all road users. The stations will be equipped with restrooms, retail spaces, as well as electric vehicle charging points.

These agreements underscore the importance and potential of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom in various sectors of the economy and reflect the commitment of both countries to developing long-term and mutually beneficial partnership relations.
