Kazakhstan and Greece Explore Logistics Partnership and Business Engagement in Middle Corridor Projects

As part of a transport delegation visit to Greece, organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan, a series of meetings were held to deepen cooperation in transport, logistics, and port infrastructure.
The Kazakh delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), Kazmortransflot, Kedentransservice, Kaspi Grain Way, and the national investment promotion agency KAZAKH INVEST. Assel Suankulova, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion and Marketing Department of KAZAKH INVEST, took part in the meetings on behalf of the company.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with the National Investment Fund of Greece (Growthfund PPF), leading Greek shipping companies Navios Maritime Holdings and Tsakos Group, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece and other relevant authorities. Talks focused on the integration of the Caspian–Black Sea–Mediterranean corridor into European transport networks, including through the Global Gateway initiative.
In meetings with Greek business representatives, Assel Suankulova presented Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities, with a particular focus on the country's logistics and transit potential. She highlighted the advantages of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) and discussed its complementarity with Greece’s port infrastructure. She also outlined the investor support mechanisms available in Kazakhstan — including government incentives, access to Special Economic Zones, and a one-stop-shop approach for foreign investors.
A. Suankulova emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to building resilient logistics chains and developing industrial cooperation with European partners, noting that KAZAKH INVEST is ready to provide full support in the development and implementation of concrete projects.
The visit marked an important step toward institutionalizing cooperation and strengthening direct business-to-business ties between Kazakhstan and Greece. The results of these discussions lay the groundwork for future collaboration and high-level engagements.
