Kazakhstan Finance Day in New York
The representative of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" in the USA, Marat Birimzhan, took part in the financial and investment forum, Kazakhstan Finance Day, organized by the National Bank of Kazakhstan in cooperation with key partners in New York. During the event, the representative of the national company held several meetings with major American companies, presenting Kazakhstan's investment opportunities in green energy, transport infrastructure, and mining.
The forum program included two-panel sessions: Capital Markets from the Point of View of Financial Services Development and Unique Investment Opportunities. At the event, participants were presented with a macroeconomic overview of Kazakhstan, up-to-date data on the development of the financial market, achievements in the field of digitalization, and plans to improve the manufacturability, security, and efficiency of the national financial infrastructure. In addition, materials on direct and portfolio investments in Kazakhstan were presented.
The forum, held at the headquarters of Citigroup Corporation, brought together more than 450 representatives of the state, financial and economic circles of both countries. The Kazakh delegation included the heads of the National Bank, the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, the AIFC, the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, as well as key financial institutions such as Kaspi.kz and Halyk Bank. The event was also attended by development institutes, including JSC "NUH "Baiterek" and FRP "Damu". From the US side, the forum was attended by leading Wall Street investors such as Blackstone, Ashmore, JP Morgan, Cerberus, Apollo Global Management, etc.
Following the event, B2B meetings were also held to discuss in-depth opportunities in promising areas of cooperation. The event was an important step in strengthening business ties, emphasizing Kazakhstan's and the United States' desire to expand economic and investment cooperation.
