KAZAKH INVEST and Portugal’s Greenflow Discussed Cooperation in Environmental Technologies and Industrial Waste Recycling
Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of NC "KAZAKH INVEST" Madiyar Sultanbek held a meeting with Carlos Manuel Forte Cardoso, Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of Greenflow (Portugal).
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for implementing environmental and industrial projects in Kazakhstan aimed at cleaning and restoring water and land resources, recycling waste from the oil and chemical industries, and introducing port reception facilities for waste collection and recycling in accordance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards.
Based in Coimbra, Greenflow specializes in engineering, industrial and marine waste processing, and digital environmental solutions. Its subsidiaries Greenflow Engineering and Greenflow Marine are ranked among the Top 5% of Portugal’s best small and medium enterprises and carry out full-cycle projects — from design and construction to operation and environmental maintenance.
Madiyar Sultanbek noted that Kazakhstan places great importance on the implementation of environmental and “green” technologies in industry and transport, emphasizing that KAZAKH INVEST is ready to provide full support to Greenflow’s projects at all stages of implementation:
“We are interested in localizing environmental technologies and attracting partners capable of not only introducing innovative solutions but also training Kazakhstani specialists. Cooperation with Greenflow aligns with Kazakhstan’s goals of developing waste recycling, water resource management, and digital tools for environmental monitoring,” – highlighted Madiyar Sultanbek.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to develop a joint project roadmap and identified potential pilot regions for implementing initiatives in Kazakhstan.
