Kazakh Delegation Discusses Cooperation with Companies from Illinois and Nevada
Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gabidulla Ospankulov and Foreign Representative of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" in the USA Marat Birimzhan held meetings with business representatives in Illinois and Nevada to strengthen cooperation and promote investment opportunities in Kazakhstan.
During a round table in Illinois, G. Ospankulov, President of the Chamber of Commerce Lou Sandoval, and Director of Market Development of the Soybean Association Todd Main discussed prospects for cooperation in the production and processing of crops in Kazakhstan, including deep grain processing and corn starch production.
At the meeting with the Senior Director of Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM), Kazakhstan's investment projects in the agricultural sector were also presented. Special attention was paid to the possibility of introducing advanced ADM technologies into the processing of grain and oilseeds in Kazakhstan, which could significantly increase the country's export potential in this industry.
Next, the Kazakh delegation took part in the world's largest mining industry forum — MINExpo International 2024 in Nevada. At the exhibition, negotiations were held with representatives of American companies working in the mining industry's engineering sector. During these negotiations, the parties discussed investment initiatives aimed at modernizing Kazakhstan's mining infrastructure.
Thus, during the meeting with the Vice President of Cummins Inc., the prospects of using energy storage devices for renewable energy projects in Kazakhstan were discussed. Among other areas of cooperation, the possibilities of using Cummins technologies in the field of diesel and gas piston generators were considered.
At the meeting with Xylem representatives, projects in the field of water supply and water resources management were discussed, in particular, the introduction of advanced water purification technologies and efficient allocation of water resources for the needs of the mining and energy industries in remote regions of Kazakhstan with difficult climatic conditions.
The Kazakh delegation discussed with the Windfall Bio company an investment project for the construction of a plant for converting methane into fuel. The project is aimed at the effective use of methane emissions, which not only contributes to improving the environmental situation, but also creates new opportunities for the development of the sector.
The national stand of Kazakhstan was also presented at the MINExpo exhibition with the participation of 16 domestic innovative companies offering advanced solutions for the mining industry. The companies presented equipment and technologies aimed at improving the efficiency of mining and processing of minerals, which contributes to the development of the mining industry in Kazakhstan and attracting new investors.
