Investment opportunities of Kazakhstan have been presented to French investors
The development of trade, economic and investment cooperation was discussed during the Kazakhstab-French round table and meeting of Business Council of the two countries. The event was held in the video conferencing format. This event was attended by over 100 representatives of business community, heads of government agencies, quasi-government organizations of the two countries.
During the forum, the participants discussed a wide range of issues of economic development in the new realities, business and investment in Kazakhstan. At the same time, during the speakers' presented the country's investment climate, measures of state support for business and opportunities for the implementation of investment projects in Kazakhstan.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Almas Aidarov noted that in his Address, President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev clearly outlined additional measures and priorities for the implementation of investment policy. In particular, he announced the introduction of a new instrument - a strategic investment contract.
“Our country consistently develops reforms aimed at improving the investment climate. We ensure a direct and open dialogue between the Government and investors and continuous improvement of infrastructure to attract new investments, advanced technologies and know-how. Currently, on the instructions of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, we are developing an additional support tool for large investors in the form of a strategic investment contract. This contract will provide investors with a comprehensive package of state support measures in the form of tax preferences, concessional financing, guaranteed procurements, and export support. It is important to highlight the guarantees of the stability of the legislation and the industry preferences.”, - stressed Almas Aidarov.
In turn, the CEO of KAZAKH INVEST Baurzhan Sartbayev said that today Kazakhstan offers new opportunities for international business.

During the event, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.A. Aydarov held B2B meetings with the management of the French sovereign wealth fund and investment bank Bpifrance, the largest manufacturer of building materials and innovative solutions Saint-Gobain and the large industrial group Air Liquide.
It should be noted that France is included in the list of key trade and investment partners of Kazakhstan. Since 2010, the volume of FDI from France to Kazakhstan amounted to about $ 11 billion. Today, 166 enterprises with the participation of French capital are registered in Kazakhstan in the oil and gas sector, machinery building, pharmaceuticals, transportation and logistics, energy and others. Among them are the companies "Total", "Orano", "Alstom", "Air Liquid", "Vicat", "Danone", "Soufflet" and others.
