Auction for Selection of Renewable Energy Projects
The JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" invites participation in the auction for the selection of renewable energy projects (RES) construction in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In accordance with the Order of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 117-n/q dated March 4, 2025, the Auction Schedule for 2025 has been approved. The schedule includes the construction of solar, wind, hydro, and biogas power plants with a total capacity of 1810 MW. The schedule has been published on the official websites of the JSC "KOREM" and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The first auction will be held on April 15, 2025, for the construction of a wind power plant with an energy storage system for the northern zone of the United Power Grid of Kazakhstan, with a total installed capacity of 1000 MW.
Timeline for RES projects:
- Solar power plants (SPP) – 24 months.
- Wind power plants (WPP) and biogas fuel power plants (BioPP) – 36 months.
- Hydropower plants (HPP) – 60 months.
Participation in the auction provides the opportunity for guaranteed electricity procurement from the winners through PPA contracts. All investors interested in implementing projects will be able to take advantage of the state support measures provided by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
