AGRIQA to Implement an Agro-industrial Cluster Project in Kazakhstan

On August 8 of this year, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" Madiyar Sultanbek held a meeting with representatives of the domestic company AGRIQA. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of implementing the project of the agro-industrial export cluster Shardara in the Turkestan region.

The project involves creating 8000 hectares of drip and sprinkler irrigation fields and building a glass industrial greenhouse, an alfalfa granulation plant, a fruit drying and freezing plant, and a plant for the production of pasta and fruit purees. AGRIQA will process agricultural raw materials and produce a wide range of products for local consumers and large multinational food industry companies.

During the meeting, AGRIQA CEO Serzhan Stybaev presented the products of the Frutta project (berry and fruit products) previously implemented in Kazakhstan and test products of the planned fruit drying and freezing plant.

M. Sultanbek stressed the importance of developing the agricultural and food industries by creating new manufacturing industries.

"Manufacturing industries significantly increase the added value of products. Instead of exporting cheap raw materials or semi-finished products and importing expensive goods, Kazakhstan can independently create final, high-quality products ready to enter world markets. Such productions also contribute to the introduction of advanced, innovative technologies. We support creating such projects, especially with domestic investors' participation," M. Sultanbek said.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation in the implementation of promising investment projects.
