Kazakhstan presented investment opportunities at the Belt and Road Summit 2019 in Hong Kong
Kazakh Invest with organizational support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hong Kong and Macau, the Chamber of International Commerce of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National “Atameken” Chamber of Entrepreneurs presented the national stand of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Belt and Road Summit 2019 in Hong Kong. Representatives of the Kazakh delegation discussed with foreign business about the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan and promising sectors for investment.
During the forum, the delegates conducted a series of bilateral meetings with the representatives of international business in the fields, such as tourism, information technology, finance, logistics, infrastructure development and trade.
The delegation also held negotiations with the heads of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in order to strengthen cooperation.
“Given the strategic location and further development of the country’s transportation system, Kazakhstan provides a good opportunity for cooperation and unimpeded movement of goods across Eurasia as a part of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative,” - said Saltanat Shunayeva, the Managing Director of Kazakh Invest during the discussions at the plenary session.
“The Belt and Road Summit is a leading international platform for promoting business cooperation within the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. We invited Kazakhstan’s business to search for cooperation partners at this event, since there is a great opportunity to directly connect with leading international companies and exchange views on multilateral cooperation and explore specific business opportunities,” - said Akerkin Eraliyeva, the representative of the Chamber of International Commerce.
The Summit participants emphasised Kazakhstan’s strategic geographical location as well as the opportunities within the provision of international transit routes for transportation. In general, the audience praised the export opportunities and investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan.
