Wildberries is Interested in Expanding its Business in Kazakhstan

The Chairman of the Investment Committee on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ardak Zebeshev, and the Chairman of the Board of "National Company "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC, Meirzhan Yussupov, met with Wildberries' CEO and founder, Tatiana Bakalchuk. During the meeting, they discussed the expansion of the company's activities in Kazakhstan.

Ardak Zebeshev spoke about the advantages of investing in Kazakhstan, the country's business climate, and assured that the Investment Committee of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and KAZAKH INVEST will fully support Wildberries' projects. The Chairman of the Investment Committee of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan proposed to conclude an investment contract in the development of warehouses to solve logistics issues and ensure uninterrupted supplies of goods to customers in Kazakhstan and abroad, including for the development of exports of Kazakh products.

Meirzhan Yussupov spoke about the activities of the national company, the preferences provided by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and invited the Russian company to expand its investment cooperation.

Tatyana Bakalchuk, the founder of Wildberries, announced that the company is currently considering the possibility of opening large logistics centers in Kazakhstan, which will accelerate the growth of sales of products from Kazakhstan producers in all regions where Wildberries is present.

"We are genuinely interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan, ready to expand our activity, and consider the possibility of building large logistics hubs in Almaty and Astana. Our platform offers a diverse range of products, including from Kazakh entrepreneurs, and we hope that the product assortment from your country will be multiplied in the near future," announced the founder of Wildberries during the meeting.

The visit of the Russian delegation is organized with the support of KAZAKH INVEST and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Russia. During the visit, the delegation will hold meetings with the Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin, Mayor of Astana, Zhenis Kassymbek, Mayor of Almaty, Erbolat Dosayev, and other representatives of government bodies and the private sector. The signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Almaty Akimat and Wildberries is also planned.
