The 13th Meeting of the Kazakhstan-France Business Council was Held in Paris
On November 4, as part of the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to France, the 13th meeting of the Kazakhstan-France Business Council was held in Paris. The council aims to foster trade and investment relations between the two countries.
The Kazakhstan-France Business Council serves as a key platform to strengthen economic cooperation and develop partnerships between Kazakhstan and France. It is dedicated to creating new investment and trade opportunities, advancing strategic industries, and facilitating the exchange of advanced expertise and technology between the two countries.
The event featured participation from Kazakhstani officials, including the Minister of Industry and Construction, Kanat Sharlapayev; the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiev; the Head of the Astana International Financial Center, Renat Bekturov; the Chairman of the Investment Committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gabidulla Ospankulov; Kazakhstan's Ambassador to France, Gulsara Arystankulova; France's Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Sylvain Guiogue; as well as business representatives from both countries.
During his speech, Gabidulla Ospankulov spoke about Kazakhstan's favorable investment climate, state support measures, and invited French companies to implement projects in Kazakhstan.
"Today's meeting of the Kazakhstan-France Business Council marks an important step toward establishing a solid foundation for long-term cooperation. Currently, the list of joint Kazakh-French projects includes 31 projects worth $4.4 billion. It’s worth noting that French companies are present across all sectors of the economy, including industry, engineering, petrochemicals, agriculture, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. Moreover, we see significant potential for expanding investment relations," said the Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The meeting also included a signing ceremony for commercial agreements and memorandums aimed at enhancing cooperation in strategic areas. During the ceremony, 24 documents were signed, including 12 intergovernmental agreements and 12 commercial contracts totaling $2.2 billion.
The meeting concluded with a roundtable dedicated to healthcare issues, where participants discussed joint projects in preventive and innovative healthcare.
The event reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and France and reinforced the foundation for new investment projects and innovations that will contribute to the sustainable development of both nations.
