Kazakhstan and Russia: Exchange of Experience in Attracting Investments
On June 28, 2022, a joint information session of KAZAKH INVEST with the Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan (RF) was held at the site of the National Association of Investment and Development Agencies (NAAIR).
More than 60 representatives of investment promotion agencies from 50 regions of the Russian Federation took part in this event.
In his welcoming speech, Zhandos Temirgali, Deputy Chairman of the Board of KAZAKH INVEST NC JSC, spoke about the three-level national system for attracting investments and the main directions of investment policy.
Director of the Strategy and Digital Development Department of KAZAKH INVEST Dina Orazymbetova spoke about the trends in attracting investments to Kazakhstan, as well as the main activities of the national company.
Altynai Mukanova, project manager for European countries, spoke about the experience of attracting foreign investment to the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as about the work of foreign representatives.
The head of the one-stop-shop group, Aigerim Koylakova, and the head of the Investment Ombudsman's group, Irina Ferafonova, spoke about the measures of state support for investment activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan and support for investors on the one-stop principle, as well as the principles of the Investment Ombudsman's work as one of the mechanisms for protecting the rights of investors.
In turn, representatives of NAAIR led by Ivan Avrakh, Rafael Khusyainshin, as well as the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Marina Epifantseva, Igor Sapunov shared their practices in working with investors, spoke about the principles of the “one stop shop”, and introduction of the investment standard.
The parties discussed the potential for further development of investment and technological cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia, and also agreed to hold further seminars to exchange experience in offline and online formats.
