Investor will build an ultra-modern logistics center in Nur-Sultan
KAZAKH INVEST and Wholesale Retail Trade Enterprise JSC signed a memorandum of cooperation to support project implementation to build an automated logistics and fulfillment center in according to the latest international standards.
It is planned that the logistics center will provide storage and delivery solutions for a wide range of product categories such as electronics, home appliances, home and garden, beauty, children and toys, sports, entertainment, transportation and more. Within the project planning to attract TOP-3 world companies in the field of warehouse automation - Dematic (Luxembourg), KNAPP (Austria), SSI Schafer (USA).
At the first stage, the cost of investments will be about $ 15 million. The funds will be used for the construction of a logistics center building with a total area of 20 thousand sq.m. in Nur-Sultan. As a result of the construction, it is planned to create 200 permanent jobs. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
Upon completion of the first stage, it is planned to start automation (robotization) of the logistics center up to class A +++, bringing the total investment to $ 70- $ 100 million.
The parties expect that this project will become one of the locomotive for the development of e-commerce and the transfer of new digital technologies to the country.
