Indian Tata Group is Considering the Implementation of Projects in the Energy Sector of Kazakhstan

The Indian transnational company Tata Group is considering the possibility of investing in the energy sector of Kazakhstan, including modernization and increase in throughput capacities. This was stated by representative of the company Sourav Bhattacharia at a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC “KAZAKH INVEST” Zhandos Temirgali.

According to the investor, the Kazakh market is of interest to the company and he expressed readiness to start implementing projects. The Indian side became interested in investment potential of Kazakhstan.

According to the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC Zhandos Temirgali, the energy system of Kazakhstan is in the process of transformation. This requires the introduction of new capacities based on renewable energy sources, as well as the modernization of the existing energy system, including the transportation of electricity. He also suggested that Tata Group consider the possibility of investing not only in the energy sector of Kazakhstan, but also in projects in the fields of information technology and mechanical engineering, voicing specific proposals.

As part of the visit, organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in India with the support of KAZAKH INVEST, the delegation will also meet with representatives of government agencies and the quasi-public sector.
