Azamat Kozhanov Appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC KAZAKH INVEST"
By decision of the Board of Directors, Azamat Kozhanov has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC KAZAKH INVEST" – previously Managing Director of JSC "NC KAZAKH INVEST". Head of the Task Force negotiation group within Investment Agreements with the Government.
2005-2009 – Suleyman Demirel University, Almaty – Bachelor’s degree in Management.
2009-2011 – University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK – Master’s degree in Business Management (Bolashak Scholarship recipient).
In 2012-2016, worked at Samsung Electronics. Led the business operations across eight countries: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Mongolia. Also managed international trade at Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, UAE.
In 2017, served as Director of the Investment Project Management Department at JSC "NC SPK ASTANA" in Astana.
In 2016-2019, engaged in entrepreneurial activities in Almaty.
Since 2019, has been working at JSC "NC KAZAKH INVEST".
Since 2020, held the position of Managing Director at JSC "NC KAZAKH INVEST".
Since April 2024, served as Acting Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC KAZAKH INVEST".
Currently serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Directors of SEZ "Khorgos - Eastern Gate", SEZ "ICBC Khorgos", SEZ "Jibek Joly".
Chairman of the Non-Profit Organization "Alliance for Green Hydrogen of Kazakhstan" (Linde, Air Liquide, Svevind, etc.). Honorary Member of the Expert Council on Petrochemicals and Oil Refining for Central Asia and the Caspian Region.
Awarded letters of appreciation and honorary certificates from the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan (2024), Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan (2021), etc.
Recipient of the Medal for the 30th Anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Diplomatic Service (2022).
