KAZAKH INVEST Presented Kazakhstan’s Agribusiness and Agritech Investment Opportunities in Italy
In the city of Ferrara, the Kazakh delegation held a series of meetings with leading Italian companies specializing in agribusiness and Agritech projects. The visit was organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) together with the Government of Italy as part of a program introducing innovative centers and agricultural production facilities.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of National Economy, and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the overseas representative of JSC “NC KAZAKH INVEST” in Italy, Altynai Mukanova, who presented Kazakhstan’s investment potential in the agribusiness sector and prospects for cooperation in agricultural technologies.
During the visit, the delegation toured Bonifiche Ferraresi, Italy’s largest agricultural company managing 7,750 hectares of farmland. The company is a national leader in agribusiness innovation and digitalization, operating a full production cycle from research and technology development to brand management and product distribution.
Meetings were also held with Diagram
and Società Italiana Sementi.
Diagram specializes in digital solutions for the agricultural sector and develops software for managing farming enterprises. Its shareholders include Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Trilantic Europe (each holding 41.6%), as well as Bonifiche Ferraresi with 15%.
Special attention during the discussions was given to the ARMONIA project, which aims to create a hydroponic greenhouse with zero energy consumption and minimal water use. The project focuses on the use of environmentally friendly materials, the development of local production, and the creation of a new generation of sustainable agriculture.
At the conclusion of the visit, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing partnership relations and implementing joint investment projects in the fields of Agritech and sustainable agricultural production.
