Chinese Companies Express Interest in Electric Vehicle and Renewable Energy Equipment Production in Kazakhstan
Representatives of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) conducted a meeting with the leadership of National Company "KAZAKH INVEST" during their visit to Kazakhstan.
The meeting was attended by CCCME Vice President Zheng Chao, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Kazakhstan Su Yu, Chief Operating Officer of the China-Eurasia Economic Cooperation Fund Rong Jian, Vice President of the International Electric Corporation "Dunfan" Wang Ai, Vice President of Beijing-based solar photovoltaic technology company "JA Solar Technology" Li Dong, as well as representatives from around 20 Chinese companies operating in the fields of machinery and green energy.

During the meeting, the Kazakh side presented the investment climate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, measures of state support for investors, as well as the country's opportunities in the fields of machinery and green energy. Chinese companies expressed interest in localizing the production of equipment for solar and wind power plants, as well as electric vehicles.
CCCME Vice President Zheng Chao noted that Kazakhstan is a highly promising and priority direction for the implementation of investment projects. According to him, several Chinese companies are interested in establishing export-oriented production, taking into account Kazakhstan's strategic location.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of KAZAKH INVEST, Zhandos Temirgali, emphasized that localization in the machinery and renewable energy sectors are among the priority tasks for Kazakhstan. He proposed a phased localization of the electric vehicle production chain to Chinese companies, particularly in the production of batteries. According to him, Kazakhstan is open to cooperation and is interested in continuously exchanging knowledge, experience, and technology.
