The Chinese Medical Corporation Plans to Build a Medical Equipment Factory in Kazakhstan for $50 Million

On September 5th, a meeting took place at the venue of the "National Company "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC between the Director of the Department for Investment Promotion and Marketing, Nurzhan Abilkhaiyr, and the Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Bass Medical Group", Van Jue.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of implementing a project to construct a medical equipment manufacturing plant in Kazakhstan. It is planned that the products will be sold in the local market and exported to the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) and Central Asian countries.

A representative of the Chinese company noted that, in the initial stage of the project implementation, they plan to invest over $50 million. According to him, Kazakhstan is a promising market for production localization. In the future, the company will regularly conduct training sessions for local employees.

In turn, Nurzhan Abilkhaiyr provided information about the investment climate in Kazakhstan, state support measures, and elaborated on the potential for developing investment projects in the healthcare sector. He emphasized that the government, considering the import substitution policy, is interested in production localization within the territory of Kazakhstan. Over the past years, several major medical companies have expressed their readiness to open production facilities in the country.
