The country occupies one of the best positions in the world for the protection of investors. Kazakhstan ranks 3rd position for the protection of minority investors among 190 countries of World Bank's Doing Business 2017 rating.
One of the important directions of investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan is improvement of international legal framework for encouragement and mutual protection of investments.
Kazakhstan signed 48 bilateral and multilateral (EEC) agreements on investment encouragement and protection with the countries that are the world leaders in investment of FDI. Among them such countries as the USA, China, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Switzerland, France and others.
Agreements on encouragement and protection of investments create favorable legal conditions for the encouragement and protection of Kazakhstan investments abroad and foreign investments in Kazakhstan. Also, contribute for improvement of the investment climate and further development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
In addition, to date, there are more than 20 draft agreements on the stage of development and around 6 agreements on the process of ratification.
