VOLUME OF INVESTMENTS IN FIXED ASSETS OF KAZAKHSTAN INCREASED BY 27.4%
At the same time, a short-term economic indicator has amounted to 103.8% in January 2017 compared to January 2016. Calculation of the short-term economic indicator is carried out to ensure efficiency and is based on the change in the index of manufacture of basic industries: agriculture, industry, construction, trade, transport and communication, constituting over 60% of GDP.
The volume of investments in fixed assets in January 2017 has amounted to 349.3 billion tenge, which is 27.4% more than in January 2016
In addition, in Kazakhstan the volume of industrial production has amounted to 1.7559 trillion tenge in current prices, which is 4.9% more than in January 2016. Mining and quarrying production has increased by 4.5% in January 2017 , in manufacturing - by 6.1%, in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 2.2%. In water supply, sewerage system, control over the collection and distribution of waste production has decreased - by 2.8%.
The gross output (services) of agriculture has amounted to 105.4 billion tenge in January 2017, an increase of 1% compared to January 2016
According to the industry "Transport", the volume index was 103.5% in January 2017.
The volume of cargo turnover in January 2017 has amounted to 42.1 billion tonne-kilometre (including assessment of the volume of turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), or 104.8% compared to January 2017. The volume of passenger traffic amounted to 21.4 billion passenger-kilometers and increased by 3, 7%.
By the way, within the industry "Communications" the volume index in January 2017 was 97.9%.
In the industry "Trade" the volume index was 100.8% in January 2017. The volume of retail trade in January 2017 amounted to 557.4 billion tenge, or 103.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2016 (in constant prices).
The volume of wholesale trade in January 2017 amounted to 1.122 trillion tenge or 99.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2016 (in constant prices).
With regard to the foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan, in January-December 2016 it amounted to 61950.4 million dollars and in comparison with January-December 2015 decreased by 19%, including export – 36775.6 million dollars (20% less), imports – 25174.8 million dollars (17.6% less).
